A rooster was found on the el tracks in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood yesterday. He has a broken wing, and Animal Control informed me this AM that he will not be euthanized. Contact animal control if you can give this poor guy a home and get him back to health.

I brought a buff Orpington rooster to EarthFest this year, just to jazz things up a bit! The intermittent crowing was a good crowding-gathering gimmick, and it was fun to be working with poultry testosterone again! Here’s a little video posted on YouTube! Watch for the chicken pix!

All right, so you’re at an illegal cockfight, and a rooster comes after you (probably because he’s sick of this whole cruel dog-and-pony show). He slices your calf with a knife, and you don’t get to the ER on time. You die.
Darwin award for 1) illegal activity 2) cruelty to animals and 3) being killed by a chicken.
