  1. I am thrilled for the possiblities in Batavia and worry that a few unenlighted politicians could get in the way of a healthier happy, community with connections to their food.
I am weary of the dog parks and tolerance for abusive behavior with animals and the controversy around small poultry keeping private citizens. It speaks ill of our way of thinking and what truly is a way to reconnect to people and systems that are important to a healthy and vibrant community life.
Please consider making poultry legal in your community. You will be amazed at the connections and strength built.

The next City Services Meeting discussing backyard hens in Batavia is on March 30th at 7:30 at City Hall.

Alderman Volk has said that the Committee will be taking public comment again on this day. Please consider coming and expressing your words of support. You do not need to say much if you are uncomfortable. Just your name, address and that you support backyard hens.

Keep sending your words of support to chickens@cityofbatavia.net. They are still collecting emails on this topic.
